This painting is about truly surrendering all to God. Giving him my life, my heart, my spirit; knowing that I just can’t live life on my own because I ultimately screw it up, but when God is in control all things work as he planned for them  to.  Even the bad and the good, so I Surrender my heart to Him as Jesus surrendered his life for us on the cross.  In the painting on the cross it says “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews” in Aramaic, Greek, and Latin as it says in John 19 which you can read to the left...

John 19:19-21

Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read:|sc JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, "Do not write 'The King of the Jews,' but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews."
